Rotolok Achieves SafeContractor Accreditation

Published - 19th Aug 2026

Rotolok is pleased to announce that we have successfully achieved SafeContractor Accreditation, alongside SafeContractor Sustainability Verification, further demonstrating our commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety and responsible operations across the business.

SafeContractor Accreditation provides independent recognition of an organisation’s approach to health and safety. For Rotolok, the accreditation formalises many of the processes and standards that were already firmly established throughout our operations.

The accreditation was initially required as part of a significant customer project, for which Rotolok is providing commissioning support in addition to the manufacture and supply of equipment. Having successfully completed the assessment process, the accreditation will now provide additional assurance to existing and prospective customers while supporting future opportunities.

Building on Strong Safety Standards

While significant changes were not required to achieve SafeContractor approval, Rotolok continues to invest in initiatives designed to make our facilities and working practices safer.

A Health & Safety Committee has been rolled out across the Rotolok Group, providing greater coordination and oversight of health and safety initiatives. We have also accelerated the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across the business, helping to ensure safe, consistent working practices.

Physical improvements have also been introduced at our manufacturing facilities. At Tiverton, new down-draught workstations have been installed to improve health and safety during grinding operations.

Investment has also been made in a dedicated Large Valves work cell, supporting increased demand for our larger Rotary Valves from 500mm through to 915mm. New high-capacity overhead cranes and purpose-designed assembly jigs allow these substantial valves to be handled and assembled more safely and efficiently by our production teams.

Elsewhere, electric pallet stackers have been introduced within our assembly and paint departments, significantly reducing the requirement for forklift movements within these areas and helping to create a safer working environment.

Investing in Our People

Training and development remain another important part of our approach. Health and safety training is delivered through a combination of online learning, toolbox talks and instructor-led sessions, ensuring employees have access to relevant and ongoing development.

Achieving SafeContractor Accreditation complements Rotolok’s existing certifications and management systems, while the additional Sustainability Verification demonstrates that our focus extends beyond safety to responsible and sustainable business practices.

Together, these achievements provide further independent recognition of the standards we maintain and our ongoing commitment to continually improving the environment in which our people work.

For customers, they provide additional confidence that when working with Rotolok, they are partnering with a manufacturer committed not only to engineering excellence, but also to safety, sustainability and responsible operations.
