Recently, a customer in Europe approached us requiring a Clamshell Gate Valve to control and isolate the flow of an abrasive material within their process line.
Clamshell Gates are engineered for demanding environments and feature a pair of pivoting gates – or ‘blades’ – at the base of a chute. Both the chute and blades are lined with abrasion-resistant steel, protecting against wear and extending operational life. An interlinking pivot system synchronises the blades, ensuring precise and centralised discharge, ideal for applications such as stockpile discharge, truck loading, and belt feeding.
Designed to handle materials including sand, aggregates, grain, coal and minerals, these valves provide reliable performance even in the most challenging conditions.
By working closely with the customer, our engineering team incorporated bespoke dimensional modifications to ensure seamless integration within the existing site framework.
